Yes you read that right! AR House just conducted its first digital collectible drop at the most recent Community Dinner where we gave out AR House merch you can wear exclusively in AR!
Here's what we learned:
👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 90%+ percent of our guests had Discord installed
🏃‍♂️ 2 minutes to turn 50 people into AR collectible owners
💰 Digital ownership can be fun and easy, no wallets or crypto junk required
We see AR digital collectibles as a way to:
✊ empower our creators to take ownership over their work even on closed platforms
🏆 reward our community for participating in AR House events
🎁 bring your favorite experiences from AR House Shows home with you
Just imagine coming to our Haunted House this Halloween and actually keeping the AR ghosts you caught and then being able to release them in AR in your own home! What a cool way to start building your own home-based Metaverses (or as we call them, Houseverses!)

🎪 The Metaverse Pitch Winner is...
On Saturday we hosted an epic Pitch Competition & BBQ with a16z for LATechWeek. Big shoutout to Katia for organizing LATeckWeek, Jack, Robin, and Jonathan for judging, and Contact CI and Echo3d for sponsoring our event and covering the BBQ.

Cix Liv (⭐️ AR House Member) pitched what he is calling Sports 2.0. It's name is REK and it's a passthrough VR game where you throw fireballs with your fists and run around to charge your shots and trust me, this game really gets your heart pumping.
The judges loved it too. So congratulations Cix & REK for winning AR House's first Metaverse Pitch Competition! This trophy is for you and will be available as a digital collectible in AR House's upcoming web-based AR Metaverse, the Houseverse.

What impressed the judges most is the opportunity for REK to become a true spectator sport like Basketball or Boxing with clear audience monetization opportunities that extend past the traditional games industry. Catch a brief moment of his pitch here.

Photography expert Pratik hosted a Metahuman workshop and scanned everyone and made cohort members come to life in Unreal!
3D sculpting expert Aiman came and did a play session of Fungisaurs, and cohort members had a lot of fun scanning and playing with them in the Fungisaurs AR app! 🍄
Ewan has been exploring Tilt5 and has been streaming his VR drawing sessions and creating magical worlds, and also hosted a VR creation tools Gravity Sketch workshop where members drew in a world together collaboratively!
Cohort member Raj has been experimenting with AR typography, and making text come to life 
Cohort member Kevin gave a great improv workshop that got cohort members up on their feet 
Cohort member Sava has been experimenting with Snapchat Lenses and created one that looks like the bathroom was flooded!
LA Tech Week Metaverse Pitch Competition (Saturday August 20 @ 1:30pm)

For LA Tech Week, ​AR House is hosting an epic Hollywood Hills backyard BBQ meets startup pitch competition.
