Meet our speakers:

Nigel Jenvey, Vice President Energy Transition Project Development

Nigel is an industry leader in Carbon Capture, Use and Storage (CCUS) and low carbon Hydrogen. With over 25 years of global energy industry experience with major international energy companies Shell and bp, Nigel has led public-private partnership technology programs, policy and regulatory development organizations, project development and operations, and capability building efforts in low carbon energy. At Baker Hughes, Nigel is Vice President of Energy Transition Project Development providing solutions that underpin CCUS & H2 project execution and operation, positioning the company to help meet global energy demand by offering lower carbon solutions across industries. He represents Baker Hughes on the Governance Board for the Future Use in Energy in Louisiana consortium and member of the Texas Hydrogen Production Policy Council and is an industry lecturer at the University of Houston in their executive education courses on CCUS and the Hydrogen Economy.  

Raman Hanjra, Global Product Director – Emissions Abatement

Raman has over 20 years of expertise in Product Line Management, Strategic Marketing & Planning, and Consultative Sales within the Global Energy and Technology markets. At Baker Hughes, he spearheads the development and execution of Product Line Strategy for Emissions Abatement product and solution offerings, with a key focus on assisting Baker Hughes customers in reducing their GHG emissions at the lowest net cost. Before joining Baker Hughes in 2023, Raman led the product line P&L for solutions targeting the Fugitive Emissions Mitigation market.

Awes Ahmed Khan, Carbon Storage Platform Leader

Awes Ahmed oversees technical and commercial readiness for the CCUS business. He focuses on creating Monitoring, Measurement, and Verification (MMV) solutions that meet regulatory requirements, enhancing them by digitally integrating surface to subsurface and connecting these projects to relevant carbon markets. With 15 years in the energy industry, Awes excels in commercial development, project management, and has spent the last 5 years driving global energy transition initiatives including in some of North America's leading projects in CCUS and Blue Hydrogen. 

Seema Santhakumar, Hydrogen Market Development Leader - Americas

Seema drives early engagement, business development, and the strategic positioning of the company's hydrogen solutions. With 16 years of experience at Baker Hughes, Seema has held key roles in digital initiatives, strategic marketing, corporate development, and leadership in clean energy solutions. Before joining Baker Hughes, Seema was a Senior Consultant at Accenture, specializing in digital transformation for major energy companies. Seema is a committed advocate for women in energy, actively participating and mentoring through Women+ in Hydrogen and the Houston Women's Energy Network.

Dr. Maruthi Devarakonda, Senior Technical Leader – Research and Technology

Dr. Maruthi is a passionate advocate of emissions abatement and has contributed to the reduction of criteria pollutants and to greenhouse gas management over the past 20 years across transportation and energy sectors. His expertise lies in the application of chemistry to develop novel model-based controls, diagnostics, and digital twins to reduce emissions from engines, midstream oil and gas assets, and lower the total cost of ownership for the customer. This innovative approach led to the commercialization of the lowest emission products and has resulted in 26+ issued US patents, 30+ peer-reviewed publications, and several awards for technical and business excellence.
