 If you’re on Twitter, you’ve probably noticed some kind of web3 related tweet - maybe about an NFT, a DAO, or some kind of crypto-related project. We’d love to explore what these concepts mean and how they’re forming the new internet.

In this session, Developer Advocate at Magic and Community Manager at Blockchain Ladies Club -

, will lead the way in facilitating this session by covering topics that beginners in web3 should be familiar with.

Study Group: Decrypting Web 3.0

 where we meet everyday of the work week to build v1 of the Women in Web 3.0 DAO! Lead by 

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are a new way to gather and coordinate towards a shared mission. Rather than having a rigid, hierarchical org structure, every single member can become stakeholders of the org/community/DAO. 

The DAO is governed by a set of rules that may be written on smart contracts - programs that run on a public blockchain. With a tokenomics structure, members are incentivized to contribute to the success of the DAO. DAOs are freakin' awesome because 

If WiW3's mission is to enable women to create in the 

 space, it's only fitting that we live by the decentralized value of web3 and turn WiW3 into a DAO.

. This means that as we're building the v1 DAO, we'll all be falling deep into the DAO rabbit hole - understanding exactly what a DAO is, how it works, and how to build it. We'll also be gathering the community's input for any major decisions we make.

Each week will have a specific focus around DAOs, as well as a specific task to complete in order to bring WiW3 closer to becoming a v1 DAO. For everyday of the week, we'll either be reading, listening, doing or reflecting together.

An 8 week collaborative learning journey where we dive into topics in DeFi and teach each other through collaborative research, participant led presentations, and discussions. 

 to determine the best days and times for our biweekly virtual meetings, get an idea of everyone's level of comfort, and vote on our first discussion topic.

We're bringing together women of all experience levels and backgrounds to dive into DeFi topics. We'll learn through real-time collaborative research and encourage each other to dig deep and get comfortable talking about crypto/defi by having participants develop presentations.

WOMEN IN WEB3 is building the Ycombinator for women founders who want to learn, prototype, and venture together through facilitated cohort experiences.

Participants of our 3-tiered venture builder will gain the confidence, community and actionable next steps they need to venture in web3.

5 Days of Venturing into the Metaverse is a 

It's a free, hands-on, and collaborative cohort where aspiring, first-time or experienced women founders can step into the Metaverse vertical and take an idea from seed to bloom in a facilitated, fast-tracked way.

 for complete beginners in web3. You should know the basics of web3 - what web3 means, what Bitcoin and Ethereum is, what NFTs are, what and how to use a crypto wallet, etc.

If you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to take a leap into the Metaverse, this is the perfect opportunity. Instead of taking a full leap - you’re just dipping your toes in the water!

Here’s the knowledge base you’ll build:

Those who completes the cohort will also be invited to join our pilot venture builder.

This will be an intensive, 5-day cohort where we’ll be meeting for 2 hours per day. There will also be light assignments for you to complete in between sessions. Be prepared to show up fully with passion and rigor.

To complete the cohort, you’ll need to attend at least 3/5 of the sessions and present with your assigned team at Demo Day. Take ownership and responsibility for your experience.

Because we’re still building the venture builder, we’re excited to hear your feedback! Please share feedback mindfully—and with empathy—but candidly to build trust.

How many people will be invited to join the cohort?

Space is limited. We encourage you to register as early as possible.

Nope! You won't be required to code anything. The experience will 

 you of a hackathon because it's fast-tracked, intense, and a fun way to come up with a solution with new friends. But it will be 

 - cause WiW3 will be facilitating the experience.

When will you be accepting registrations?

We’ll be accepting applicants on a first come, first served rolling basis - until Dec. 2nd at 10am PT.

If you identify as a woman, and don’t get in, it means the spots have filled up. But no worries, your application for our pilot venture builder will be prioritized 🫶! We will send you an email to onboard the Garden the last day of registration - Friday, Dec. 2nd.

Will future WOMEN IN WEB3 venture builders also be free?

Our dream is to build a repeatable business model that can help us nurture the Garden and sustain the DAO’s growth. We’re still figuring this out as we go, so the answer is
