The ATX PreSales Collective invites you to reminisce, reflect, and bid good riddance to 2020 with our end of year virtual networking event. Bring a holiday beverage and sign in to yet another Zoom meeting to meet some fellow Austin PSC members and get to know the team who will lead us into 2021. We’ll be sharing stories, best practices and our favorite virtual demo gaffes, and we want to hear yours!

As Director of Sales for Lucidworks, Mike is helping to accelerate the growth of Lucidworks. Mike has closed over a dozen Million dollar transactions in his career and was named Rep of the Year at Lucidworks last year. Previously Mike was named as the North American Analytics Rep of the Year at IBM prior to being twice promoted to Western Region Analytics Business Unit Executive. Mike holds a BS in Statistics from the University of Washington, and an MS in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina.  

As VP of Product at Tellius, Radu is continuing to build momentum of the already robust AI, ML and Visualization features in the platform. As a data science and BI practitioner and product leader for many years, he now continues his passion of accelerating the journey towards Augmented Analytics for users and companies. He has held technical sales engineering and product management leadership roles at companies like SAS and Lucidworks, focusing on AI-powered, cloud-native enterprise solution.

Radu is a graduate of University of Missouri, holds an MBA from University of Iowa and an MS in Analytics from NC State. He resides in Raleigh, NC with wife and two young, fun-loving kids.

Jackie moved from snowy Milwaukee where she was working in IT to sunny California to work for a tech start up 5 years ago. Since then she has established her career in Solutions Consulting at Braze, helping close the largest deal in her company to date in 2019. She decided she wanted more time to focus on solving larger business problems she had seen over the 4 years of working with customers and moved into an Industry Solutions role a year ago in London. 

Maggie Kalahar is a pre-sales leader focused on building and empowering elite teams.  Her personal mission statement is to give and receive joy to everything she does. 

Recently promoted to VP, Americas Solutions Consulting at Sprinklr, Maggie is able to combine her passions for customer experience, solutions consulting and people leadership.  Recently relocated back home to Michigan from California, Maggie enjoys college sports, reading a good thriller and 90s hip hop.

Austin PSC Networking + Happy Hour

We are excited to host our August get together with special guests James Kaikis & Yuji Higashi, co-founders of the PreSales Collective. Come meet them and hear their vision for the future of the PSC.

In addition to our special guests, we're also hosting a "speed dating" session for folks who would like to be a mentor or are looking for a local mentor. The goal of this event is to help you make connections in Austin. 

Think of it as a more structured networking session, where you'll spend a few minutes talking with someone and then moving on to another person. Our goal is to foster discussions in a fun format.

Even if you aren't looking for a mentorship, please join us to hear about PreSales Collective plans in Austin. Everyone is welcome!

Our schedule over the 2 hours of our event:

6:00 - 6:45 -- Begin round of 5 minute intro to other attendees

6:45 - 7:00 -- Official event close by PSC Leadership

Feel free to stick around after the official events to chat, listen to the live band, or ask questions of the PSC leaders.

As always, please be responsible since alcohol is being served - plan a rideshare as needed.

PSC Austin Networking + Speed Mentoring

It's officially Spooky SZN, and between the ominous feeling that end of quarter is approaching and the skeletons in that deal, we want you to come join us for a networking happy hour with a twist! 

We're not just brewing up a reason to share some pumpkin spiced beer - PSC wants to give back to the Austin community, and we need your help! We are donating non perishable, healthy food to benefit the Central Texas Food Bank.

For each that you did this month, bring the corresponding donation:

- Custom Demo (not your standard day to day, but something that really meant you went above and beyond): peanut butter

- Proof of Concept: canned chicken breast, tuna, or low sodium vegetables

- Met clients in person: 100% whole grain cereal

- Closed a deal: canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added)

5:30pm Welcome! Grab a Drink and Drop off your donation

This is a casual networking event with a food drive - please bring items with intact, un-opened, consumer or commercial packaging and items with non-breakable packaging (no glass please).

The leaves are changing, the temps are dropping, but PreSales must go on! Come on out to Cosmic Coffee for a hot drink and friendly networking. There's no formal agenda for this event, so feel free to stop in briefly or set up shop to work remote.

8:00am: Welcome! Grab a coffee and find the table with a PSC sign on it. Jack will be there with name tags and some suggested topics.

9:30am: That's it - feel free to stick around and dial in, or move along with your day!

Cosmic has ample parking shared with Crux climbing gym across the way. There's a large outdoor seating area with some excellent food trucks. Check the weather and dress accordingly - indoor space is limited. Feel free to bring a friend, a dog, or even an AE.

PSC Austin: Holiday Celebration 

Why start the day with video calls when you could come out to Radio Coffee and meet fascinating local PreSales professionals?

For this second installment of the Austin Coffee + Coworking event, we'll be gathering to celebrate our wins, ignore our losses, and kickoff one of the last weeks of the year with a hot drink (or two).

This event is open to ALL - that means you should invite that new college grad looking to break into PreSales, or your manager, or your dog!

We'll begin gathering around 8, where you'll find Jack with a sign for PSC. Slap on a name tag, order a coffee (or tea (or water)), and meet some people! Feel free to come and go on your own schedule - there's no strict agenda.

Show up the same way you would to any other coffee shop! Feel free to bring laptops and work remote, too - it's a free for all.

Seriously, invite some people! Fun for the whole sales team.
