Nikhil's spent most of the past 10 years in core ML research and applications of ML/AI in computational biology and tech spanning the areas of NLP, computer vision, speech processing, healthcare, and drug discovery. In the past, Nikhil was at the grad school at CMU and studied CS at IIT Guwahati. After that, he worked at Microsoft AI&R as Data & Applied scientist building deep learning models that serve the entire Bing Search traffic all over the world.  At some point, I also used to build AI-based strategies for algorithmic high-frequency trading in derivatives markets across exchanges in India.

In AI, he is a former engineer from Aleph Alpha, an OpenAI competitor that researches, develops, and "operationalizes" large AI systems toward generalizable AI, offering GPT-3-like text, vision, and strategy AI models. He is also the co-founder of Contrarian AI, an AI-based startup that lets you instantly validate the market need for your product ideas based on customer insights from millions of data points.​
