Are you struggling to work through resistance for inclusive and equitable design? Do you feel your organization or clients just don't care, don't have the time or budget or lack the resources?
Our community is here to support you in navigating these challenges! For the past year, a small work group has been building a prototype of a tool to support designers in making the case for equity and inclusion.
In the spirit of co-design, we welcome you to join us in this session to review our early-stage prototype, share your inputs and work together to improve its design.
We envision this tool helping with goal setting, objection handling and action planning, as well as providing inspiration from real people doing this work. We hope to realize this vision with your support!
What to Expect
This will be a true design jam! We'll talk about our creative process over the past year, walk you through the prototype and hold space for exploration, feedback and co-design.
This session builds on our initial community jam on this topic back in August 2023. After you sign up, we'll send you the recording and notes of that session if you wish to see where we started.
Accessibility & Inclusion Considerations
As this is a design jam, we hope most attendees can lean in and actively participate. If you prefer to follow along quietly, we'd appreciate you weighing in via comments or sharing your inputs after the session.
You can join via desktop or mobile — we'll adapt our facilitation style and tools based on the needs of those present.
We will provide closed captions, live transcripts and visual descriptions to the best of our ability.

We're the Inclusive Design Jam, a community of practice that champions equity in the design of the world. We create a safe space for connection, empowerment, and development around designing for inclusion, equity and justice. Join us on Slack and in monthly community gatherings.
