About Event

IN THIS EVENT we will share with the audience what we are learning every day about how to defend against the misinformation and scare tactics designed to divide us. Learn to create their own strategies to effectively engage in dialogue with people who are choosing to go along with fiction over facts when it comes to DEI&B (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging).

In your role, do you end-up confronting or needing to deal with a lot of resistant opinions or people?

Do you struggle to motivate yourself to continue to show-up at work with an open heart and the ability to feel along with someone else?

It feels like we are working with resistance on an almost daily basis, which is why we are thrilled to have our colleague and collaborator Amalia Alarcon Morris (https://jim-morris.net/meet-our-team/) join this session to offer a few of the things she is learning about Managing Resistance with Empathy.

If you don’t know or haven’t worked with Amalia, she is not only a Master Facilitator on equity, belonging and inclusion, but an extraordinary inclusionist who has an abundance of grace and respect for everyone with whom she works. Needless to say, you’re in for a treat.

We will discuss…
1. The root causes of resistance and skepticism towards DEI initiatives.
2. Developing empathy as a key tool for addressing and managing resistance.
3. Strategies for creating inclusive environments that encourage open dialogue and understanding.
4. Leveraging empathy as a driver of culture transformation

Please join us on Jan 16 from 9-10:30AM (PT) Noon-1:30 (ET) https://lu.ma/standupjmcjan

THIS WEBINAR IS FOR...

  • “Internal” DEI&B professionals who administer or oversee DEI&B training

  • Senior leaders who struggle to effectively address programmatic concerns with skeptical or hostile employees/audiences

We can’t learn from the mistakes of the past if we can’t talk about them. It's time to defend the real history of racism in the US.
