​​An Oxford-style debate on power, trade, and the national interest from the Toronto Society 
for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge.

​​The last few months since Donald Trump assumed the presidency have been some of the most dramatic in living memory.

​​President Trump's actions have brought into question long-standing assumptions about North American prosperity, the relationship between Canada and the U.S., and even the future of Canadian sovereignty. What does all this mean for our country?

​​On April 21st David Zhao and Eric Lombardi will debate the proposition: Trump Benefits Canada

​​The debate will be live-streamed on X. An exclusive dinner with the debaters will be held for patron ticket holders following the social hour.

​​This is the Toronto Society's inaugural debate. I hope that you will join us for the experiment.
