This House Believes Trump Benefits Canada
An Oxford-style debate on power, trade, and the national interest from the Toronto Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge.
The last few months since Donald Trump assumed the presidency have been some of the most dramatic in living memory.
President Trump's actions have brought into question long-standing assumptions about North American prosperity, the relationship between Canada and the U.S., and even the future of Canadian sovereignty. What does all this mean for our country?
On April 21st David Zhao and Eric Lombardi will debate the proposition: Trump Benefits Canada
The debate will be live-streamed on X. An exclusive dinner with the debaters will be held for patron ticket holders following the social hour.
This is the Toronto Society's inaugural debate. I hope that you will join us for the experiment.
