Harvesting Solutions: From Food Waste to Food Justice
Join us for an exciting panel and hands-on ideation session about tackling food waste and food justice in Washington! The Use Food Well Washington Plan is Washington's roadmap to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030, and one of the main strategies is through food rescue.
You'll hear from an expert panel on the challenges of connecting food waste generators (grocers, farms, etc.) with hunger relief organizations, as well as some of the opportunities and solutions that are being developed.
Following a short panel discussion, we'll transition to a rapid ideation session. Attendees will participate in a collaborative activity to generate ideas for how to address these critical food security challenges.
