Hi all! Can you believe it's almost February? Anywho, in our last issue, we talked about wealth and asked 3 questions:

  1. What’s your relationship with money?

  2. What are your 2022 money goals?

  3. What will happen when you achieve your money goals?

TL;DR, you’ll be on your way to good financial health if you have:

  1. an emergency fund

  2. money to pay for living expenses

  3. AND some extra cash to save, spend, or invest

Let’s say you have extra cash and you want to invest it: many of you have reached out telling me "I want to invest. Where and what should I invest in, Lolita?" The answer is, "it depends." The first thing I advise you to do is to assess your financial health, keep your money goals in mind and do your research on your investment options because there are many. See a few investment categories below and figure out which are most aligned with you, your risk tolerance, and your money goals.

  1. Traditional investment vehicles (e.g., stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs)

  2. Less traditional (e.g., Web 3, Crypto, DAOs)

  3. Private equity (e.g., startups, venture capital)

If investing in startups and venture capital interests you the most, you're in luck because that's what I do and I'll share what I know in the following issues.

I’ll leave you with this question for now: do you want to invest in startups, venture capital funds, both, or none of these?

Disclaimer: I share my perspective above and yet I’m not a licensed financial advisor and advise you to do your own due diligence before making any money moves.
