🍦 Ice Cream Edition
​Hi Sprinkles Parents,
​It’s getting hot! As the Sprinkles season is starting to wrap up we wanted to pass along the top 3 East Bay Ice Cream Spots to kick off your summer:Â
​This nostalgic ice cream can only be found through following her on social media and heading over to where her pop ups are. It’s all handmade, Mexican-inspired ice creams and vegan sorbet with rotating seasonal flavors. They have nostalgic favorites with Mexican-inspired flair. OK.. so we may be a little biased because Stephanie and I co-host an ice cream podcast called “Let’s Spoon,” but her horchata ice cream is killer. So grab a pint, and take a listen while you enjoy her great flavors.Â
​Mr. Dewies
​What I love about Mr. Dewies is that they are vegan and dairy-free. As a mom with a kid with a not-great stomach, I know there won’t be a tummy ache afterwards. They also just started selling their cashew-milk-based shakes. Feel free to mix up your favorite ice cream flavors in your shake (I love their turmeric and chocolate)! As a pro tip, I also like to ask for a little bit of their delicious hot fudge on top.
​This is by far the best in the Bay Area because they sell Guanatos ice cream, which is all the way in Oakley (not to be mistaken with Oakland). It’s true Mexican ice cream with real fruit. They have hands down the most delicious flavors like corn, cotija, and avocado, just to name my favorites. They also make fruitshakes that are so refreshing in the Walnut Creek heat!Â

​Fun Fact:
​Sprinkles parents name started because we love ice cream. Sprinkles started with ice cream reviews with kiddos through IG Sundaes.mom then it turned into a Podcast, called Let's Spoon. Then it turned into wanting to do in-person ice cream social events hence Sprinkles Parents. It also is fun that all parents are different colors, can be two of the same, can be two different but at the end of the day we are all exactly the same trying to figure out how to be a parent in this crazy world.
​🍂Sprinkles In the Fall
​ This Fall we will be officially launching our inclusive membership to keep the programming, events, and community going. We want to continue to support other parents and give back to our local community as well. Our membership will include:Â
​Weekly emails like this one containing advice, information, and eventsÂ
​A mentorship program, where newer parents will be matched with more seasoned parents for advice, clothing swaps, and more
​Automatic entry (with snacks and coffee!) for our ​Sprinkles Park Playdates
​​1 ticket for each of our events (e.g. baby meetups, brewery takeovers, holiday parties, etc.)Â
​​2 months membership for free (14 months for the price of 12 months)
​​Bonus: As a Thank You for becoming the first Sprinkles Parents Members, we will be giving you 2 tickets to the Oakland A's game on July 9th @1pm (over $100 in value).
​​At the game you can meet other Sprinkles Parents community members and enjoy (as much as you can with kids) an Oakland A's game.

​We want to create flexible opportunities for parents to feel a sense of fulfillment, support the community and compensated. Unlike other folks, its hard to ask/have parents volunteer I have found since we are soooo many things come up with kids as you know (doctor appointment, early pick ups etc). We want to hire someone dedicated to help with the social media, events and general. I have tried to do it all like most mom's and realized I need some help in order to keep helping parents. If you know of anyone please let me know. Resume's don't matter, it's the right, honest, dedicated amd organized, person!!
