Love of PR

Hi Founder,

Have you run into a disgruntled customer yet? Or PR damage control situation yet? Last week I had a microaggression between two members of  my parent community and I definitely didn’t handle it as well as I could have because frankly, I have never had to do this before and am learning more about it.

That said, I always want to share my mistakes with you so you don’t make the same ones. Here are a few things that I learned:

  • In FB groups, you should try not to delete comments, even if they are not true or harmful,  etc. It’s seen as silencing voices of a community (different from ratings/testimonials, where you can remove to be selective).

  • Ensuring you quickly respond to situations.  It’s a balance of not acting so quickly that you don’t even think VS just acknowledging you are seeing the person’s issue and then going back to them when you are able to fully process it. People feeling ignored and not getting answers in this “on demand” world can make things worse.

  • Receiving help from others is ok. As the oldest sibling in my family and even a mom, I tend to just try and handle everything all by myself. I was so grateful for those that saw me fumbling around with this issue and offered me PR help by writing great “press releases” and responses.

If you’re interested in learning more about PR and what it can do for you, join me in April, where I will be chatting with PR expert Samantha Breen from Opportunity PR to learn all about Breakthrough PR Tricks for Startups.

Super Bowl Boxes

Sprinkles Parents (my other business) is running Super Bowl boxes! We’re doing it 50/50 style where half of the proceeds go back to the community. Sprinkles boxes are $10/box, which comes out to $500 in prize money! 1st and 3rd quarter payouts are $100 each, with Halftime paying $125 and the 4th quarter/OT paying $175!

Please join in the fun and grab a box (or more) today!

Book Club

Folks have been asking for my favorite books to learn about the great work that I do in  marketing and strategies. One of my clients is shifting their business into a subscription base, so I have highly recommended the Forever Transaction. If you are going to venture into coffee subscriptions, diaper subscriptions or boxes then I highly recommend this book.

Helpful Hour

Many clients have been reaching out to me to help them with networking, accountability, and action, and guide them on how to bring their marketing to life.

They love working with me hourly once a month to just stay on track with their marketing needs in a more cost effective way. They also enjoy the ability to email me to help them review reporting from Amazon partners or review their final website to ensure they are asking the right marketing questions with the partners at play.

We set up marketing goals at the beginning of the year and by the end of the year you will have all of the sales to show that your efforts were hitting the right audience and delivering you the best results.
