community bike ride from Fremont -> Belltown
Since our June theme for Soapbox is ✨vibrant cities✨, we figured we should get a bike bus going to and from our weekly dinners!
Every Tuesday evening, Soapbox Seattle hosts a plant-based dinner combined with joyful community building towards climate action. (We're your climate church, basically. But way better.)
You can see our calendar here for more info!
About the ride
We'll meet at 5:00PM at the Fremont PCC and leave at 5:15 sharp
It'll take ~25 minutes at a luxurious pace from PCC to Soapbox Seattle, located on 1st & Bell
The ride is on bike paths and protected bike lanes the whole time! YAY! It will take us on the Lake Union trail, up 9th Ave, and finally up and down Bell St. There is a short hill on Bell for two blocks but it's mostly a flat ride
If you're coming to Soapbox afterwards (which hopefully is the point for you!! but it's not mandatory), you can leave your bike inside our space
Soapbox events end at 9, with cleanup lasting about half an hour, so if you're looking for Bike Bus on the way back, you can expect to be home around 10pm
This is hosted by Soapbox Project, a nonprofit that creates joyful community structures to heal our climate anxiety and loneliness through expertly facilitated connection, learning, and action activities. Find your place in the climate movement with our online and in-person community!
