Green Games, Bold Futures: A Climate Games Event
Join Seattle’s climate community for a night of radical imagination, learning, and connection. Whether digital, analog or anything in between, games are a huge media platform with a far, diverse reach. They bring people together and encourage new ways of thinking. During this event, we will create an understanding of how games can help us collectively envision a better future, expose the audience to games that are out there, inspire new ideas for climate action through games and build the Seattle climate community.
We will start the evening with brief talks from designers and players on how games inspire them to imagine more equitable, resilient, and cooperative worlds. Then, experienced players will pitch games, giving a quick overview of how these games function and how they encourage us to think about alternatives to our current society. We’ll finish with time to connect, discuss ideas, and plan future games sessions.
This event is your chance to discover how games can shape new ways of thinking about our future—and how we can work together to create it.
