Program Format:
12:00-12:20 Video presentation on what you need to know about student loan repayment requirements; how to get your questions answered; scams to avoid.
12:20-12:25 Overview of free resources and services from the Wisconsin Coalition on Student Debt.
12:25-12:30 Lawyers for Learners offers free legal resources and help; find out how to make an appointment.
12:30-3:00 Drop-in hours for 1:1 free, personalized and confidential student loan guidance via our helpline with knowledgeable Coalition members. Advance registration is requested but you do not need to be available or attend for the entire Convening time period.
Additional Information:
The federal government suspended required student loan repayments in March 2020 as an emergency relief response to COVID-19.
This pause will end on January 31, 2022 and borrowers will need to resume their repayments.
