Theme: iNaturalist scavenger hunt
Who: Neighbors who want to make friends + be outdoors + work towards a better, safer, greener future together. Best if you live within walking/biking/rolling/bussing-distance of Woodland Park in Seattle.
Your host will be Soapbox member Neil Quillen! This event will be limited to 16 people, so save your spot early.
What:
A joyful summer field trip to keep our community momentum going! You will:
Vibe in the sunshine (hopefully, pls Seattle weather gods)
Make friends with other people who care about the planet + a more sustainable Seattle
Have some snacks + learn about iNaturalist
Help scientists improve conservation efforts via a nature scavenger hunt supported by the iNaturalist app
Feel better AND do better by participating in bite-sized action
Get a fun souvenir to take home with you (no spoilers)
Where: Seattle Sensory Garden in Woodland Park
When: 2-5pm on Saturday May 18
Why: Everything is less overwhelming with friends! Fun nature activities are a great way to transform your climate anxiety into meaningful action!
