Employee climate advocacy dinner: how to lead action in uncertain times
Trying to navigate how to create a better world using the influence of your company?
Join us for dinner, conversations, and action brainstorms with other employees leading climate action in uncertain times. Plant-based dinner is INCLUDED in your ticket, and there will be gluten-free options.
Who: you! This dinner will serve you best if you're an employee at a large-ish company, but as long as you're interested in being part of corporate climate solutions, you are welcome to join.
What: Dinner & discussion for employees leading action in uncertain times
Where: Soapbox Seattle (2301 1st Ave in Belltown). Pro tip: it's a short walk from Pike Place and the new waterfront trail, so bike on over!
When: 6-9pm
Why: In times like these, we need honest stories, practical ideas, and space to reflect on your own role in the bigger picture. Plus, dinner.
Bring: You don't need to bring anything, but to minimize waste, if you have your own water bottle/utensils/tupperware, invite it along! And definitely bring that one friend who wishes there were more opportunities to make their work life matter.
More details
In a year of layoffs, ESG backlash and shifting priorities, it can feel like climate action at work is stalling.
But behind the scenes, employees are still speaking up, pushing forward, and finding new ways to influence change.
Join us for a conversation with employees from companies like Amazon, Google, and Pinterest who are keeping climate and sustainability on the agenda – despite the headwinds. They’ll share honest insights about what’s working, what’s not, and how they’re adapting their approach to stay effective in these uncertain times.
Together, we’ll explore:
What employees can do right now to keep climate action alive
What’s actually resonating with leaders in this moment
How to handle setbacks, greenhushing and slowdowns – without burning out
Expect honest stories, practical ideas, and space to reflect on your own role in the bigger picture. This event is co-hosted by ClimateVoice and Soapbox Project.
