Environmental Claims Clearinghouse
It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in an "Environmental Claims Clearinghouse" OpenTEAM Collaboration series to explore environmental service marketplace interoperability and recommend a structure to assure the ability to issue stackable environmental claims without double counting and begin to define the fungible and non-fungible nature of contract terms, claims and boundaries. This work will build on both current OpenTEAM workstreams as well as link to other participants efforts across the sector.
About this Series
For each collabathon series, we hold and facilitate pre-competitive dialog that brings together researchers, ag technology experts, environmental service markets, government officials, agricultural producer networks and private companies to help solve shared challenges that will plant roots for innovation in agriculture, soil health and natural climate solutions. We would like to include you in this conversation because of your deep experience and expertise.
What’s a Collabothon?
Collaboration + Marathon = Collabathon Referencing both collaboration and sustained efforts, a collabathon may contain short sprints in service of the long range goals we share. Please find the attached document for more information. Each collabathon series will have a series of sessions leading to specific actionable outputs. Outcomes may also be discovery, case studies, user stories, schematics or other technical documentation necessary to provide the foundation for future work. OpenTEAM will develop and maintain a project board to link the streams together and provide visibility to intersections across both concurrent and subsequent collabathons as well as regular OpenTEAM working groups.
How will this event be documented?
Documentation will be available asynchronously in recordings, transcripts, written notes, murals and other documentation that will make the group’s work accessible to the other session participants.
What are the outcomes?
The projected outputs for the Environmental Claims Clearinghouse sessions will be:
The development of a shared statement articulating the need for collaborative action and common underlying architecture to support interoperability of diverse and innovative private and public environmental service marketplaces.
The development of design requirements for technical, legal and governance structure to create the entities/structures that must exist to support the need.
