**Tech Talk: Power up your LLM solutions with Vision, Speech, and Azure Open AI**
**Speaker:** Asish Padhy (Microsoft)
**Abstract:** In this session, we are going to look at some of these advancements with GPT-4 with Vision, Whisper, and Text to Speech (TTS) in Azure Open AI. Azure Open AI provides a secure way for enterprises to build and deploy Open AI models and provides several more features over Open AI offerings. We will discuss about some of the below features and look at demos and real examples with these services. a) GPT-4 with Vision and Enhancements with Azure AI Vision; b) Whisper and build enhanced solutions with Azure AI Speech; and c) Text to Speech with Azure AI Neural voice.

**Speaker:** David Levy (Vectara)
**Abstract:** In this session, I will discuss the challenges when building an operational RAG system and look at how we can simplify this with Vectara's GenAI platform. 33% slides, 33% UI console, 33% Python Notebook. 1% humor (could be rounded down).

Public Lecture on "Beyond the AI hype: Balancing Innovation and Social Responsibility"

Stone & Chalk's Ecosystem Drinks - Sydney

This talk will dive into the research that gave birth to the Transformer, the "T" in GPT, and the core architecture of LLMs and Gen AI. We will dive into mechanisms of this revolutionary approach as well as it's motivations and diverse applications.

* **About the speaker:** Dr Sean McMahon received his PhD in Robotic Vision and AI in 2018. Since graduating, he worked for a recently acquired med-tech startup, providing surgical pre-operative planning to orthopaedic surgeons.
