THINC-NICE Learning Series: Simplifying Implementation Science Theories, Models, and Frameworks
Background
The Network for Integrated Care Excellence (NICE) is a knowledge mobilization and impact hub for CIHR’s Transforming Health with Integrated Care (THINC) initiative. We connect 13 Implementation Science Teams across Canada, bringing together researchers, decision makers, knowledge users, and people with lived experience to foster collaboration, build capacity, amplify impact, and lead knowledge sharing nationally.
Workshop Overview
Are you finding the landscape of implementation science frameworks overwhelming? You're not alone!
In this interactive 90-minute session, delivered in partnership with The Center for Implementation, you'll gain clarity on the often-confusing world of implementation science theories, models, and frameworks.
In this workshop, we will explore:
The fundamental differences between theories, models, frameworks, and approaches (TMFAs)
Practical guidance on making sense of TMFAs, understanding how they complement each other, and selecting the most appropriate one(s) for your specific needs
Real-world examples of how projects are successfully applying TMFAs in their implementation work
Who Should Attend
These sessions are designed for all members of THINC Implementation Science Teams, including:
Researchers and academic partners
Project staff and coordinators
People with lived experience
Healthcare decision makers
Knowledge users and system partners
