Day-time Critical Mass Jozi from the The Zone, Rosebank to 44 Stanley

​Join us for a special edition of Critical Mass Jozi Day-time as part of Design Week South Africa and October Transportation Month! Since its inception in 2007, Critical Mass Johannesburg has been all about reclaiming the city streets for cyclists, raising awareness of cycling as a sustainable, safe, and enjoyable mode of transport. This special daytime edition will highlight the need for better cycling infrastructure, like connected cycling lanes, protected intersections and safer streets for local commuters.

​Starting at Cradock Square (The Zone) parking, Baker Street entrance at Rosebank, we will safely cycle to 44 Stanley, Auckland Park and back. At 44 Stanley, there will be water and a 45 minute break to explore what is happening there as part of Design Week Johannesburg and then we will cycle the same route back to the Zone.

​Part of the ride, there will be a few support vehicles powered by 24/7 Security and Xciter Sports with mechanical support along the route. We do not recommend children below the age of 12 but the route will be for all skill-sets with additional support.

​We will ensure your safety in the 14.36 km route where families, experienced riders can join the ride.

​Some facts: 

• ​There will be support marshalls

• ​Water at 44 Stanley

• ​2 support vehicles; and

• ​1 mobile mechanic by Xciter Sports

• ​No children below 12

• ​We suggest bringing a helmet but it is not compulsory
