Meet the new ClimateLaunchpad national startups contest
ClimateLaunchpad is the world's largest training bootcamp for early-stage climate-tech founders. It has operated in 50 countries for over 10 years. It launched in the USA in 2024. CL is a program of Climate-KIC, the largest climate program of the European Union, and it is a new path for USA founders to reach European markets, investors and partners.
The 2025 ClimateLaunchpad opens for applications from idea-stage founders in March 2025. It is free to apply and participate. From April to July, participants take online courses and an intensive weekend bootcamp. In August a national pitch contest selects three founders to compete in the Americas regional contest (last year including 7 countries). Participants have access to the Climate-KIC database of 2000+ climate tech companies in the EU, other accelerators and national representatives in 50 countries.
Seattle serial entrepreneur and 9Zero member Burt Hamner won the 2024 USA ClimateLaunchpad contest. At this event he will describe the program, share key resources from it, and encourage Seattle startups and organizations to join the global networks for CL and the EU's Climate-KIC program. He will also briefly describe climate-related programs now open or opening soon: 4Ward.VC, the Cleantech Open, Imagine H20, and MASSChallenge. Participate and share your interests too! Light snacks and drinks are provided.
ClimateLaunchpad is managed by Clean Leap, which also produces international trade missions for climate investors. Please see their site for more details.
