Improving Seattle's Startup Culture
We're going to host a panel on how the city can help build a vibrant startup culture, fix challenges in Seattle's polite and sometimes insular social/venture scene, and create jobs and positive environmental action in the region.
Panelists:
Court Lorenzini, founder of DocuSign: One of Seattle’s OG entrepreneurs who is now working to reshape the city’s startup culture by mentoring the next generation of founders through Founder Nexus.
Mike Waggoner, founder of Corumat and the Data Driven Circular Action Network: Corumat produces carbon-negative foodservice items and packaging that can be recycled WITH food waste. Mike has raised >$8M in grants/investments/orders and is working to bring >$1B in capital to the state by coordinating private/public nonprofit circular economy efforts.
Daphne Dejong, founder of Ven Underwriting: Ven is creating an AI-automated risk platform to enable financing of projects in the Cleantech economy. Daphne completed a recent successful fundraising round, and has been part of Rivian and space startups.
Bring your curiosity and questions as we openly tackle the cultural challenges and opportunities in our startup scene. Let’s move Seattle forward, together.
