In an era of increasing disconnection, Harvard’s longest-running study on happiness reveals that strong relationships—not wealth or success—are the key to a fulfilling life. True connection begins with deep listening, the skill that transforms conversations into meaningful relationships and helps us bridge the growing gaps in our personal and professional lives.
Join us for a monthly gathering of learning, listening, sharing and practicing! An original collaboration between Community Cafe and The Global Listening Movement (GLM).

Cafe opens for drinks, food, and warm ups at 6:30pm. Program begins promptly at 7pm.

The Listening Café is different.
It’s a warm, comfortable space where you don’t have to impress, explain, or compete for attention. No pressure to be interesting or have it all figured out. Just a chance to talk—or not talk—and be met with genuine, patient listening.
No fixing. No advice. No expectations. Just someone who’s truly there, listening.

This FREE monthly event is professionally facilitated and offers a judgement-free space for any human - parents, partners, entrepreneurs, clinicians, educators, lawyers, tradespeople, creatives, coaches, caregivers, and anyone else - to practice the art and science of listening.
Come in, grab a seat, and take a moment for yourself. Because sometimes, feeling heard is all we really need.
What to Expect
Get ready for a unique and immersive experience exploring the art and science of listening, with a special focus on research-based protocols and storytelling. The program is fully guided by a trained listening facilitator.
We’ll start with engaging warm-ups.
Followed by an introduction to deep listening techniques.
You’ll practice one-on-one in rotating pairs.
Then we'll conclude with a powerful group listening circle.
Over the course of monthly sessions, we’ll learn and practice multiple data-driven modalities designed to deepen connection, build bridges, and enhance understanding. These skills have been proven to strengthen personal relationships, improve clinical outcomes, elevate customer experiences, increase creativity, solidify negotiations, and drive revenue.
A few things to keep in mind:
You’re always in control—participate in whatever way feels right for you.
Name tags are provided, but you don’t have to share your full identity.
To make the most of this experience, we ask that you show up fully, stay present, unplug from distractions, and commit to the entire event.
