​About Barry Kernon 

​Barry Kernon is an accounting and tax consultant at HW Fisher, specializing in advising media clients, including authors, journalists, artists, musicians, producers, and directors, as well as smaller businesses across various sectors. With extensive experience in tax planning and reducing tax liabilities, Barry provides strategic business advice and accounts preparation for individuals and businesses in the creative industries. He advises clients on a wide range of tax matters, including VAT, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, corporation tax, and all aspects of authors' tax advice. Barry qualified as an accountant in 1970 and operated his own practice for many years before merging with HW Fisher in 2002. He serves as Honorary Treasurer of the Society of Authors.
