The focus of this session is on managers who feel frustrated by their team not meeting their standards or not following their marching orders. These are the managers who say: “My team doesn’t listen to me.” We’ll cover how managers can be more effective communicators, coaches, and motivators.

We’re creating a space for people leaders to talk honestly about common (but tricky!) manager issues. Join Connie Liu and Nick Lush to walk through a framework for diagnosing the likely systemic culprit for these issues (the employees, the manager, and/or your organization’s culture) and then walk through a live example of a relevant manager challenge we’ve faced with previous teams.
Then, we’ll break up into groups to use the framework to tackle challenges you’re seeing with managers on your own team in pairs/triads. This is a confidential and interactive problem solving space for people leaders!
