About Event

soul.com community is hosting a series of meaningful conversations about TRUST. All are welcome to join and explore the different topics together. You can join one or more conversations.

Conversation one: Having uncomfortable conversations

We all know about uncomfortable conversations… Those conversation that can break or strengthen relationships. They can be about small things or major themes. Recent events have brought a number of these conversations in families, friendships and workplaces.

In this conversation, we would like to explore the relationship between trust and having such uncomfortable conversations with questions such as:

  • Can we avoid difficult conversations in relationships of trust?

  • What can we achieve by initiating uncomfortable conversations?

  • Is trust a prerequisite for handling a difficult conversation or is trust reinforced through difficult conversations?

Conversation two: What can I do or say to become more trustworthy to others?

Trust is a fundamental cornerstone of successful relationships. It is a quality that people value and look for in others. But instead of expecting other people to be trustworthy, what can we do to become a more trustworthy person? Questions we will explore include:

  • Is a good character enough to be trustworthy?

  • What words or deeds help me to become more trustworthy?

Conversation three: Rebuilding trust in the workplace

We all have been in situations where trust has been broken in the workplace, which left us paralyzed and unable to move forward. Trust may be broken due to many different reasons, such as being lied to by a colleague, having a colleague steal your idea or project, or seeing that a promise has not been kept.

In this conversation we will explore the conditions that are needed to create trust, how to rebuild a professional relationship after having distrust, and how to strengthen a culture of trust moving forward.
