Drawing Play-Date - Rodent Characters
Drawing Play-Date:
The monthly free meet-up for everyone - hosted by Robyn Hepburn - where we scribble and draw like we're 5 years old and have just been given a new box of crayons.
This month we’re going to admire that most under-appreciated of mammals: the rodent. The whole lot of 'em, in fact.
Actually, that fact is a lie. There are far too many rodents for us to admire them all.
But we'll try to at least glimpse a fair number of them. And we'll draw as many as we can.
My hope is that we populate at least one whole page with various rodents, creating a diverse family of interesting characters.
(Did you know that 40% of all the mammal species are rodents? And that doesn't even include rabbits and hares anymore.)
What to bring:
If all you have is a pencil, don't underestimate your power!
If you want more, then bring along:Something bold that dries fast like markers, gouache, or ink
Something to add details: pencil crayons, fineliners, etc
A full box of wax crayons that have that nostalgic wax-crayon smell.
All ages and skill levels welcome! Bring your kiddies, your friends, your pet rabbits (just don't tell them they're not considered rodents anymore).
