About Event

From Mimicking to Product Innovation

Join us for an enlightening evening with food tech leaders Nadav Berger, Founding General Partner at PeakBridge Ventures, Jasmin Ravid, Co-Founder & CEO at Kinoko-Tech, Esti Brantz, Co-Founder & Head of Impact & Creative at ANINA Culinary Art, and Ofek Ron, Co-Founder & CEO at Oshi. Hear their perspectives on creating novel food experiences, rather than replicating traditional ones, to drive the transition toward a sustainable food system.

The event is free, but registration is required.

At the meetup, network with entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, and food enthusiasts. Whether you're just starting your food business, looking to connect with startups to invest in, or want to network with other like-minded professionals - this event is for you.

During our 30-second pitch session, members of the audience are invited to participate in 30-second pitches of their own projects, startups, or themselves. This is the perfect opportunity for job-seekers, entrepreneurs, or anyone else looking for connections in the crowd!

Guest Speakers :

Nadav Berger, Founding General Partner at Peakbridge Ventures

Nadav Berger has deep, decades-long roots in the food industry. A third-generation food industrialist, he shifted to entrepreneurship, actively building a number of companies specializing in food applications, marketing, and distribution. In 2008, he co-founded the food applications hub FoodLab, focused on the innovation and development of our food systems. The innovations there led to his founding FoodLab Capital, a premier seed fund and a pioneer in FoodTech investing. The fund’s success helped pave the way to establishing PeakBridge in 2018. Today, Nadav is a board member of InsideTracker and Neolithics, and serves as an observer of BE WTR and Tastewise. He holds a B.A in economics and political science from Tel Aviv University and an EMBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Jasmin Ravid, Co-Founder & CEO at Kinoko-Tech

Jasmin is a dedicated scientist with an unyielding passion for biology and nature. Fueled by her profound love for plant sciences, she earned my B.Sc. in nutritional sciences and a Ph.D. from The Hebrew University, where she delved deep into the world of metabolic engineering in plants. At Kinoko-Tech, she is tackling the hurdles faced by the plant-based category, where people struggle to find healthy, affordable, and tasty alternatives to traditional proteins. By cultivating fungi mycelium on legumes and grains, they've unlocked the potential to create groundbreaking fermentation products.

Esti Brantz, Co-Founder & Head of Impact & Creative at ANINA Culinary Art

Esti Brantz is a co-founder of Anina, a company dedicated to redefining the perception of "ugly" produce. Motivated by the need to combat food waste, Esti and her team aim to celebrate the natural beauty of vegetables, often overlooked due to their appearance. Anina utilizes innovative, patented technology to transform upcycled vegetables into flexible laminated sheets, creating culinary food art in the form of a quick meal. With a background in Industrial & Product Design from Bezalel Academy and years of experience as an industrial designer, Esti's vision focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and reconnecting consumers with nutritious foods.

Ofek Ron, Founder & CEO at Oshi

Ofek is a passionate entrepreneur who oversees, creates, and runs high-scale ventures, and is an animal rights activist. Prior to Oshi, Ofek was the VP of Business Development at Vegan-Friendly, an international non-profit organization that aims to end animal suffering and by changing meat consumption towards plant-based food. Ofek founded Oshi in 2021 with the mission to eliminate sea pollution and overfishing by crafting the world's tastiest premium whole-cut seafood fillets made exclusively from plants. The startup is now transforming restaurant menus selling plant-based salmon fillets across foodservice in the US.
