Welcome to the third gathering of the Covenant Community ✨
We're a community of humanistic-tech proliferators — builders, artists, and thinkers growing the field of human-aligned technology.
We're currently seeking early partners to contribute to The Covenant of Humanistic Technologies by helping draft the principles that guide human-aligned technology and contribute essays, technical work, illustrations, artistic interpretations, and applications of human.tech.
Agenda:
In this townhall, Laure Haak will introduce Verime — a researcher-owned identity verification system. She’ll share details on its governance launch, product specs, and the vision behind this new approach to research identity. The website goes live Monday at verime.coop.
Laure is our fearless partner in the pursuit of social good. A connector at heart, Laure blends experience in research, tech, and nonprofit leadership to help communities build trust, share knowledge, and make meaningful decisions together. She leads Mighty Red Barn and is a Research Scholar at the Ronin Institute, drawing on past roles at ORCID and the US National Academies, among others.
We’ll wrap up with an open floor for Q&A and discussion.
