About Daniel
Daniel Steele is an urban experience researcher currently working for the City of Boston as a Principal Research Advisor. He is concerned with how people live, work, and play in cities and, equally importantly, how insights from this research can be used in urban planning and decision making about the public realm.
At the City of Boston, he advises on research methodologies and standards, as well as analysis and data storytelling. Prior to his work for the City of Boston, Daniel co-founded a McGill University-based living laboratory called Sounds in the City. Sounds in the City partnered with local, provincial, and international governments to conduct research on how city users experience public spaces and their homes and offices, leading to direct impacts on new transportation, nightlife, and parks policies.
