Oil Painting Class - Portraits
Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, an instructed oil painting class in DTLA.
In this 3 hour class we'll be painting a portrait (reference provided) using the techniques of the renaissance masters. We'll go over composition, sketching, painting in layers, color mixing, and how to use all the materials provided. I'll walk you through every step of the way and offer one on one feedback.
Although we teach oil painting techniques in a traditional realism style, you will find that these techniques are just best practices for working with oils and serve as a great jumping off point to develop your own unique style.
No experience necessary, all supplies are provided (including aprons!)

About your instructor: Tanya has been working in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 10 years. Oil painting is her passion and her goal is to share her love of painting with anyone who’s willing to try!
