Aldous Huxley 130th Anniversary
It's Aldous Huxley's 130th birthday on 26 July and I find myself living just a few miles from the place his ashes were interred.
Anyone fancy a trip with me to Watts Cemetery (GU3 1DN) on the day? Low key, no big show, just a chance to sit and chat (see the chapel - it's awesome) and perhaps reflect on whatever you might know about his work, but no prior knowledge will be assumed!
Please pay attention to the cemetery regulations especially: "The cemetery is a place for peace and reflection. No electronic or recording devices, dogs or picnicking are allowed. Visitors must remove all refuse or place it in the bins provided."
Bring whatever you need to sustain yourself and stay hydrated. Since picnicking is prohibited in the cemetery itself, we'll find somewhere around the gallery (very nearby) - it'll be rough round the edges, but we'll work it out.
