With nearly 20 years of experience in the B2B digital media, communities, tech, and events sector, Vanessa now splits her time across these three areas:

1) Strategy Consultant at Financial Times, supporting FT Live with strategic growth projects
2) Founder of Event Tech World - the ultimate community for buyers and users of event technology
3) Consultancy within the event sector

She has a CPD accredited Board Advisory qualification and a track record of delivering results in go-to-market, positioning, and customer retention initiatives.

As a former managing director of three businesses Vanessa believes believe that a customer-first approach to business is the only way to max out your potential. She has built and grown communities, events, and brands across various industries and markets, using data-driven insights, technology, and customer marketing.

Taylor Brione Ballard, Founder, Experiences By Taylor Brione

Taylor Brione Ballard is a distinguished graduate of the Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, where she majored in Event Management and Sales. Armed with a master's degree in Public Relations, Taylor's passion for creating memorable experiences led her to embark on an entrepreneurial journey at the age of 16. It was then that
she founded "Experiences By Taylor Brione," an event planning business that has since gained acclaim for its creativity and attention to detail.

From a young age, Taylor Brione found joy in planning and celebrating, a trait that has become the cornerstone of her successful career in event management. Beyond her professional endeavors, Taylor is an avid volunteer, dedicating her time to her church, alma mater, community, and her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

In addition to her thriving career and commitment to service, Taylor Brione takes pride in being the proud older sister to her five younger sisters and the devoted dog mom to her 10-year-old Maltese. An enthusiast of all things pink, Taylor Brione can be spotted wearing the vibrant color every day in various forms. Her love for pink extends to her collection, as she has been a dedicated Barbie Collector for 13 years.

Taylor Brione's expertise and creativity have not gone unnoticed, as she has been featured in reputable publications such as Brides, Destination I Do, New York Times, and Harpers Bazaar. Currently, she is channeling her passion for storytelling into the literary realm; she is the author of "Hectic but Holy", a devotional for very busy women, and is currently working on a children's party planning book, set to be released in Summer 2025.

Through every project, Taylor Brione's passion is making people feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

Cat Kevern, Director at Electric Cat Productions and Chair of NOWIE (The Network of Women in Events) 

For the past eight years, Cat Kevern’s presence has been synonymous with the global live events scene. Her journey leaves an impactful mark on legendary events and venues worldwide. From large-scale sporting events to vibrant live events in Costa Rica, New Zealand, and even Morocco, she's embraced her nomadic spirit, leveraging her fluency in French and Spanish to travel the world.

​Recently, Cat has started a new chapter of her career, focusing her attention on her new business venture: Electric Cat Productions. Through this endeavour, the team offer B2B marketing strategy and specialise in planning and delivering exceptional events.

​Beyond the onsite bustle, Cat passionately strives for better opportunities for women in the industry. She plays a key role as chair of NOWIE (The Network of Women in Events) putting on events, projects and programmes supporting the community and wider industry.
