Does a story about you still feel “real” if AI generates it?
Join us for an experiment where we’ll question the evolving role of AI in creative expression. Through hands-on activities and discussions, we’ll explore the boundaries of authenticity, creative intent, and the blurred lines between human and machine-generated narratives.
Participants will share personal memories, reinterpret each other’s stories, and experiment with AI tools to see how narrative authenticity shifts when assisted by technology. We'll eventually bring these stories to life as thermally-printed artworks.

💙 Experiment with Recraft and Matt Madden's “99 Ways to Tell a Story” to create visual narratives both with and without AI assistance
👂 Pair up and interview each other to uncover personal stories
🗣️ Engage in a discussion on AI’s role in creativity, meaning and memory
👀 Contribute to a virtual gallery showcasing human and AI-created stories, while taking your creative work home.
■ What to Prepare ■
🧾 A small object, receipts or tickets with sentimental value: Something tied to a memory, a moment, or a feeling.
🖊️ A pen in your favorite color: cuz personal expression starts with the littlest things.
■ What is thermal printing ■
Thermal printing is a fast, ink-free printing method commonly used for receipts and labels. It has a high-contrast, grainy aesthetic that feels both nostalgic and raw. Imagine mixing this lo-fi medium with GenAI glitches and real-life memories... 👨🍳🤌💋
