About Event

This event is free to attend, with optional donations welcomed.

Come enjoy queer community while walking through this beautiful town forest. The trail gently ascends while winding through old granite rock piles (grout piles), passing unique stone sculptures and carvings, and culminating with some great views over forested, water filled granite quarries to the distant mountain ranges. Because of the rock piles, this area stays deliciously cool in the heat of the summer and the path is well shaded for most of the time. Optional post hike lunch recommendations can be given in the nearby town of Barre.

This hike will run rain or shine, but we will reschedule to the rain date in the event of thunderstorms or extreme heat.

We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them.
If you require a service dog to attend, please let us know and we’ll collaborate with you on how to keep you both comfortable and hydrated on this hike.
