Allison Mendoza is the eldest daughter of two Peruvian immigrants, who came to New Jersey in the early 1980’s. She’s a dreamer at heart who learned early in life that it’s ok to start over. Allison truly believes that it is in these moments of “new beginnings” where we learn the most and become a stronger version of ourselves.
Up until recently, Allison led the Intimates & Swimwear design teams at Victoria’s Secret PINK. After originally pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and working in the Financial industry in New York, Allison re-evaluated her career dreams and ultimately realized fashion was her real love.
She returned to school where she graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design. Soon after, she started at Victoria’s Secret as a Freelance Assistant Designer, working in Knit Tops & Sleepwear and eventually crossing over to Swimwear and then total Intimates. Allison became an Executive Design leader at VS & Co. and championed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at work, serving as the Community Partnership Lead for Conexion, the Hispanic/Latino employee resource group, and also in her personal endeavors.
Allison is currently dedicating her time to help future leaders find their path, as well as enjoying some well deserved time off to start on her next chapter in life: a moment for “new beginnings.”
