🙌 Regen Actions: Hands-on to make regeneration happen for the region 🌳
Special day of volunteering in Regen Site #6.
A combination of the following:
Hands-on activity [Preparing the space and the soil for a new implementation prototype model for regenerating a depleted cork forest system - setting the plantation preps with dry reeds / markers].
Preparation for our first-ever school event with 8th grade students [We have many materials to bring up to cork forest: mulch (woodchips, hay) organic resources (wood logs)].

This ongoing event offers a unique opportunity to participate in the rhythm of nature and work alongside an evolving regen forest. Depending on the season and the stage of the site, you'll be involved in various tasks like planting, seeding, pruning, propagating, and much more.
What to Expect:
Hands-on Learning: Learn by doing, whether it's planting trees, propagating plants, or helping shape the landscape through seasonal tasks.
Seasonal Activities: you’ll engage in different regenerative activities based on the current needs of the Regen Site.
Build Skills in Regeneration: Gain valuable knowledge in agroforestry, permaculture, and regenerative design, while making a tangible impact.
Community Connection: Meet others passionate about regenerative practices, and work together toward building a more regenerative future. Sometimes tea-infusion freshly harvested from the Forest is shared.
Led by experienced regenerative practitioners like Mathias (CEO Regen Waves), Leeanne (Learning & Community Engagement) Regen Actions are the perfect way to deepen your understanding of how to regenerate ecosystems while contributing to a living project.
Timeline
9:30 am : Arrival onsite (meeting point)
9:45 am : Welcome teas and meeting the land [Regen Site #6]
10:00 am: Regen Action - hands on to speed up regeneration in the Lab Forest - we will divide the group into 2-3 and each sub-group will do one activity and then rotate.
12:45 pm : Collecting/cleaning of tools and closing circle
13:00 pm : Depart from the site
