About Event

What does it take to transform private grief into something meaningful for others? What can letting go teach us about storytelling, healing, and creative power?

Natalie Lue is a writer, speaker, and podcast host whose work has helped millions navigate relationships, boundaries, and emotional healing. In her newest project, Let Go—two deeply personal books published by The Pound Project—she explores the trials and transformations of her last decade: estrangement, loss, illness, publishing, and the ongoing challenge of surrendering what no longer serves.

Join us for an intimate post–Writers’ Hour Q&A with Natalie as we explore the creative process of turning life’s hardest moments into resonant, artful prose. We’ll also discuss her forthcoming books with The Pound Project. For priority access to Natalie’s newest books, sign up for The Pound Project’s newsletter: http://eepurl.com/dwwfVT

We’ll also explore:

  • Writing about grief, loss, and transformation with nuance and strength

  • What to leave in, what to leave out—and how to know the difference

  • How to protect your energy while writing personal stories

  • Publishing vulnerable work in a way that feels empowering

  • Navigating audience, boundaries, and truth-telling

  • Why “letting go” is rarely simple—and why that’s okay

  • Working with a mission-driven publisher like The Pound Project

  • Advice for writers working on personal essays or memoir

About The Pound Project

The Pound Project is an independent crowdfunding publisher based in the UK. At the end of 2018, the company won The Bookseller’s BookTech Startup of the Year Award, recognizing its innovation in the publishing world.

But The Pound Project isn’t just about selling books, it’s about championing the value of reading and writing for everyone, no matter their background. Each campaign centers on a single story and a single writer. Readers can access the story online for just £1 or purchase a beautifully designed print edition for £5.

Every book is a limited edition, available only during its crowdfunding campaign. Once the campaign ends, production begins, and the books are delivered directly to supporters. Each title is meticulously crafted with thoughtful design, making every book a unique and immersive experience.
