Chaga's Tale (D&D) with Alex
This is an RPGFest event; we'll be playing an in-person tabletop roleplaying game with a small group. The game will be hosted in Western Queens. Come prepared to roleplay!
You are mushroom goblins. Or perhaps goblin mushrooms? We’ll say fungobs, because you’re real funghis (eyyy). You are mostly small, mostly fungal little humanoids colonized by growths of a particular type of mushroom. Puffball, redcap, deathcap, enoki, lion’s mane, and shelf, all living in an underground network of tunnels within a floating island. Gabiko!
Once, the fungobs of Gabiko fought each other, pitting varietals of mushrooms against each other. Thankfully, those times are past. These days, there is peace and harmony in the town.
That is, until the curse befell Gabiko. One by one, the elders have fallen into a deep sleep that they cannot be woken from. The tales say that this has happened before. A hundred years ago, a mystical and strange fungob broke the curse with her magic, but the townsfolk became afraid of her and chased her away.
You know that her now-elderly daughter still lives deep within the tunnels, where the fungobs rarely tread. You seek to find her to learn how to break the curse and save Gabiko. As it turns out, finding the old mushroom hermit is the easy part, but she has a rather big favor to ask of you.

We will be playing exclusively in the 2024 ruleset with level 3 characters, using custom species for the fungobs. This game is great for D&D beginners or for folks who’d like to get familiar with the 2024 rules.
