About Event

Among the tools platforms can lever to stem the spread of misinformation, evidence points to Community Notes as one of the most effective ways to reduce reshares of misleading posts. But Community Notes' dependence on volunteers raises questions about scalability and concerns they're susceptible to bias.

Join us for a Pro-Social with Jay Baxter, Senior Engineer at X one of the early developers of Community Notes. We'll discuss the promise of Community Notes, their current safeguards from manipulation, and some of Jay's more recent work on using LLMs to scale their impact. We look forward to you being part of the conversation!

About Pro-Socials: Pro-Socials are informal meet-ups, where technologists and researchers can learn from - and inspire - each other around understanding and integrating prosocial design. Each Pro-Social includes a motivating question, conversation with experts and break-out convos where you can meet like-minded technologists (designers, product managers, entrepreneurs and trust & safety professionals) and researchers to share insights and begin to co-create new knowledge together.

In partnership with the Council on Technology and Social Cohesion.
