George Beattie, CFC
George is head of innovation at CFC. His role is to keep the company ahead of the curve on future risk trends and competitive intelligence to ensure that CFC continues to lead the market in innovation. A large part of the role is creating and trading brand new insurance products - concentrating on ‘breakthrough’ innovation across a range of topics including climate, intangible assets and emerging technology.
Rachael Nutter, Climate Impact Partners
Rachael has been at the forefront of the net zero transition for almost 20 years, in senior commercial, investment and Board roles in international private and public sectors spanning renewables, energy efficiency, and nature-based solutions. As Director of Project Development at Climate Impact Partners she is responsible for driving two critical areas:
Originating and managing high quality, high impact carbon projects globally, working with on-the-ground project partners to deliver climate, biodiversity, and community benefits.
Helping corporates deliver on their climate ambitions and goals through the creation of innovative financing models, enabling them to channel finance to these projects and secure carbon credits now and to meet their future demand.
Sebastien Cross, BeZero Carbon
Sebastien is Chief Innovation Officer and Co-Founder of BeZero Carbon, a global ratings agency for carbon markets. BeZero Carbon was founded in 2020 and its global team combines expertise within climate and earth science, financial research, data science, and public policy.Prior to founding BeZero Carbon, he worked as a Rates Strategist for Bank of America, focusing on fixed-income markets. He began his career as an Economist at the Bank of England. He has an MSc in Finance & Economics from Warwick Business School and an MA in Economics from the University of Sheffield.
Oliver Colman, WTW
Oliver Colman, Director, Financial Solutions at WTW works within Alternative Credit and Carbon Insurance. Oliver works with Financial Institutions, Corporates, Brokers and Carbon Project Developer clients with the aim of providing innovative and novel risk mitigation solutions. Through the use of insurance, WTW works to increase investment into a range of sectors and de-risk financing of high quality carbon removal projects.
