International AI Governance: Key Challenges and Solutions
Session Summary:
This event will present CeSIA's newly released International AI Governance Report, examining critical challenges in global AI governance and proposing actionable solutions. We'll explore the Three Pillars they propose for effective global AI governance: Institutional Architecture (coordinating AI Safety Institutes and strengthening the AI Summit series), Scientific Foundation (advancing scientific assessment and research coordination), and Rules of the Road (improving industry accountability and establishing risk thresholds). The presentation will highlight how these pillars can address current governance gaps before AI capabilities outpace our ability to control them, followed by an interactive Q&A on the future of international AI governance.
