Join New Yorker cartoonist Tom Toro and climate artist Nicole Kelner for an interactive workshop and learn how to make a climate cartoon.
We'll learn the basics of cartooning philosophy and you'll make your own New Yorker style-climate cartoon.

Materials: bring a pencil, a piece of letter paper, and pen. If you have ink or black watercolor that is optional too. No prior art experience required.
Nicole Kelner creates educational art to inspire climate action. She uses watercolors to communicate complex ideas in climate in a beautiful, accessible way. She published a coloring book about clean energy called Electrify Everything and teaches a Climate Art 101 course.
Tom Toro is a cartoonist and author who has published over 200 cartoons in The New Yorker since 2010. His books include CROCODILES NEED FRIENDS, TOO!, the cartoon collection AND TO THINK WE STARTED AS A BOOK CLUB..., and A USER’S GUIDE TO DEMOCRACY with Hannah McCarthy and Nick Capodice.
