Rare Effect 2024: Crossing the Streams Augmented Reality Workshop with Zeitwarp, followed by Live Jam + performance from Escafa777
Learn how to use augmented reality to link digital art to physical objects IRL and see how AR can be deployed as an integral part of your creative vision.
'Crossing the Streams' is a one hour workshop hosted by Dan Quill of Zeitwarp Studios - a full-time artist , sporadic music hacker & occasional alt-jazz DJ. The workshop will cover the basics of how to set up AR activations that connect physical and digital creations using any smartphone. In addition, Dan will demonstrate using his own audiovisual artwork how AR can both extend the scope of a creative project while closing the loop between distinct phases of the creative process.
This session will take place in English.
The session will be followed by a live jam with Diogo Lourenço, and performance from Planting A.I.R. resident Escafa777.
Escafa 777
Escafa 777, was born as Wilton, in Goiânia, in the heart of Brazil. His journey in music started early, influenced by the rap that he discovered through his cousin as a child. At 14 years, he started writing, and the streets of Noroeste were his main stage, where he got involved as a DJ and Master of Ceremony. However, it was in words that he found the true way of expression, adding the knowledge acquired as an activist and student.
Today, creating his third album, influenced by transatlantic references, Escafa 777 seeks to build a bridge between different worlds, connecting the best reference communities to raise artistic quality and support other artists who need these tools. Through hip-hop, which serves as a powerful instrument of empowerment, and of blockchain, he envisioned the creation of a musical ecosystem autonomous and alternative, driven by a community user engagement.
