The Redemption Show + Lauren's solo (Sunday)

​​My sister, Kat Freya, and two of our friends, Sam Camino and Nikki Flinn, have come together to put on four 20-min self-written and directed solo performances in THE REDEMPTION SHOW:

​​“An evening of ritualistic performance examining power, desire, and institutional control. Through dance, sound, and storytelling, four solos interweave to challenge established systems and reclaim feminine power. Traversing landscapes from the workplace to pop culture, sacred ritual to religious rebellion, each artist's unique voice contributes to a collective song of resistance, crafting a raw, transformative experience that celebrates liberation and invites audiences into a shared journey of reclamation."

​​My solo, SMARTER, follows the story of a woman who has torn herself between necessity and desire in the workplace, and falls into the psychologically trippy hole that is the corporate world. Through a sequence of scenes — from sexual harassment to toxic-polite performance reviews — SMARTER explores the consequences faced when trying to outsmart your own gut. 

​​DATES & TIMES: 

​​We have three performances 4/18 - 4/20, but I'm submitting this specifically for the Saturday & Sunday so that it doesn't conflict with other Tribe events!

​​Sunday, April 20th, 2:00PM (which is Easter Sunday, btw, so come for some religious rebellion)
