​Radical empathy is the practice that, in our scrollable content-saturated world, is increasingly rare. Yet it holds the potential for noticing and empowering others; to transforming how we understand each other and make sense of how we work and live together.

​Our April Lunch and Learn will be delivered by Tim Butcher, Founder and CEO of ConnectCurateCreate. Following a 20-year international academic career, Tim founded ConnectCurateCreate in 2023, a Tasmanian for-purpose media company, seeking a solution to the precarity that characterises the arts and creative industries.

​Tim will be sharing how his concept of radical empathy is central to his work supporting emerging artists, and particularly to the creation of the ConnectCurateCreate podcast. His talk will outline how he developed radical empathy as an approach, as well as insights into how and why you, too, can employ this skill both professionally and personally.
