What to Expect
In today’s complex world, traditional leadership models often fail because our brains are wired for simplicity and predictability. In this interactive workshop, Jennifer will explore how leaders can rethink complexity and build new strategies for success.
She will help leaders distinguish between complicated challenges, where traditional problem-solving works, and truly complex challenges, where leaders must navigate uncertainty differently.
This session will also introduce her work on ‘leadership mindtraps’—the unconscious patterns that hold us back in complexity. Jennifer identifies five key mindtraps:
🔹 Simple stories – The need to make sense of the world in overly simple ways.
🔹 Rightness – The belief that we are correct, even when we aren’t.
🔹 Agreement – The assumption that harmony is always best.
🔹 Control – The instinct to hold on, even when letting go is better.
🔹 Ego – The need to defend our identity at all costs.
Leaders will learn to recognize these traps, develop self-awareness, and practice key shifts that unlock new possibilities. In today’s fast-changing world, this ability isn’t just an advantage—it’s a leadership superpower.
