As usual we have two amazing tracks for you:
Tech Track:
Jacopo Tagliabue - Cofounder Bauplan - serial technical entrepreneur.
Jacopo is the co-founder and CTO of Bauplan, an AI company. He previously co-founded Tooso, an AI startup acquired by Coveo in 2019, where he led AI initiatives from scale-up to IPO and established Coveo Labs, a prolific R&D practice. Educated at institutions like UNISR, SFI, and MIT, Jacopo also teaches Machine Learning Systems at NYU.
Talk: Functions volant, buckets manent: building data applications with S3 and ephemeral functions"
Object storage is rapidly establishing itself as the ideal substrate for data and AI applications: economical, redundant, and transactional, S3 allows for a drastic simplification of cloud architectures. In this talk, we will discuss how the Python ecosystem is still far from fully exploiting this paradigm and share the solutions proposed by Bauplan to bridge this gap.
Business Track:
Francesca Albino - ESG Researcher
Francesca Albino is currently Head of ESG analysis and climate specialist at Generali Insurance Asset Management (GIAM). She contributed to GIAM's white paper on climate transition risk in insurance investments, published in May 2022. She has been investment analyst and analytics specialist for American Century Investments and Bloomberg in London
Talk: “Decarbonisation Technologies: An Investor Perspective”
Francesca will explore key decarbonisation technologies, investment trends, and the factors shaping capital allocation in the low-carbon economy.

Talk: "Functions volant, buckets manent: costruire applicazioni dati con S3 e ephemeral functions"
Lo object storage si sta rapidamente affermando come il substrato ideale per applicazioni dati e AI: economico, ridondante e transazionale, S3 consente una drastica semplificazione delle architetture cloud. In questo talk discuteremo di come l'ecosistema Python sia ancora lontano dal sfruttare appieno questo paradigma e condivideremo le soluzioni proposte da Bauplan per colmare questa lacuna.
Business Track:
Francesca Albino - Ricercatrice ESG
Francesca Albino è attualmente Head of ESG Research e specialista del clima presso Generali Insurance Asset Management (GIAM). Ha contribuito al white paper di GIAM sul rischio di transizione climatica negli investimenti assicurativi, pubblicato a maggio 2022. In precedenza è stata analista d’investimento e specialista in investment analytics presso American Century Investments e Bloomberg a Londra.
Talk: "Tecnologie per la decarbonizzazione: una prospettiva per gli investitori"
Francesca esplorerà le principali tecnologie per la decarbonizzazione, le tendenze negli investimenti e i fattori che stanno plasmando l'allocazione del capitale nell’economia a basse emissioni di CO2.
