What is an Agent IDE?
The world's first “Agent IDE” was launched in open beta by LangChain this month.
What is it, exactly?
LangGraph Studio provides a specialized agent IDE for visualizing, interacting with, and debugging complex agentic applications. See how to use it on your desktop today.
It’s the “first Interactive Development Environment specifically designed for agent development.”
What makes it “agentic,” though?
Visualize agents
Interact with them with a point-and-click interface
We aim to find out if we need the features that an “Agent” IDE brings to the table for LLM software development and how similar the features are to other tools we’ve recently taken a look at (e.g., AgentOps).
Crucially, in their release, they write, “Coding is still important to developing LLM applications — after all, production-ready LangGraph applications have complicated custom logic in the nodes and edges of the graphs that are created. We don't aim to replace code editors but, instead, to augment the development experience with tools tailored for LangGraph applications.”
We’ll test out exactly where the code editor ends and the Agent IDE begins with LangGraph.
Join us to test out this new tooling!
